Ambulance Subscription Service

2025 Ambulance Subscription

If you require emergency treatment or emergency transportation to a hospital, we will bill your insurance company for the cost of the service. While most insurance providers will pay a portion of the bill, they often leave the patient with a remaining balance that they must pay. This remaining balance can be sizable, (especially for those plans with large co-pays and deductibles). However, if you donate to our annual Ambulance Membership Drive prior to the date of your EMS service, you will not be required to pay the balance that the insurance does not cover for the emergency services that Clarks Summit Fire Company Ambulance provides. In other words, the balance of our bill is forgiven. In addition to these savings, your donation is tax-deductible.

About Our Subscription Service

As community demand for emergency medical services grows and volunteer numbers dwindle, we have taken the necessary step of supplementing our volunteer staffing with paid EMS personnel. Additionally, we are proud to be one of the first community EMS services in Lackawanna County to offer Intermediate Advanced Life Support Services. In emergency situations, every second counts, and this additional equipment and highly trained personnel allows us to more quickly provide advanced lifesaving capabilities to our residents.

We receive only modest donations from the municipalities we cover, and that money is primarily for fire protection. By making a contribution to our Ambulance Subscription Drive, you are helping us to continue offering EMS services to our community.
